It’s a thing of celebration when a new born baby is involved. The happiness can sporadically be uncontrollable, but at the same time, we tend to be more calculative, especially on the price of pampers in Nigeria and some other necessary baby things most needed after delivery.

  • Pampers

This brand is not limited to Nigerians. It’s used worldwide and has been existing for quite a while. Am even sure some of you reading this post were actually raised with Pampers as a diaper brand.

Though when it comes to the overall cost of diapers on the market, this particular one tends to be on the higher side, even at that, many parents still preferred it because of the quality. It absorbs easily and also reduces the chance of your baby getting rashes like most of the brands do.

Price:

The monthly pack can cost around ₦100,000 and there are about 180+ diapers inside of it. You can purchase offline or online. You should also understand there are lesser cost packs, which you can get for around ₦50,000 or ₦25,000. The difference is in the numbers. So it depends on what you want.

  • Huggies

As you plan your journey into motherhood, huggies are one pamper you shouldn’t forget. Not just because of the quality, but also because it’s affordable. But huggies and pampers are very great in terms of leakage. If you’ve been a mother, you should understand the importance of your baby staying dry at all times.

The first time I saw this brand, it was very strange, especially for someone using it in an area where other brands tend to be very popular. My auntie was able to do the introduction after a lot of questioning. So her overall feedback turns out that the product is very good, having used it for all of her kids (4 in number then).

One good thing about the brand is their waist elastic band. It gives your baby comfort, and you won’t need to worry about diaper rashes, which is usually common with many of the brands.

Huggies is also an international brand for those who don’t like it local.

Price:

This pamper comes in various costs depending on the pack you opting for. You can get it for as low as ₦10,000 to ₦35,000.

  • MolFix

This name is not strange to any Nigerian mother. It’s one of the best selling and affordable pampers in the market. If you visit 10 homes with newborn babies in Nigeria, 8 homes are probably using this brand.

Though Molfix is a Nigerian-made brand, I can tell you it offers exactly what you want. You can check molfix Reviews to see what other people are also saying about it. There’s no leakage, it’s soft; it’s affordable.

The pack you want will determine the cost. You can get it from 1,200 to 40,000. It’s available online and offline. You can buy from supermarkets and small retailers.

If you want to order in bulk as a distributor, you can contact Molfix through their official website. But if you want it for personal use, you can shop online from.

Other Molfix products, like the wipes and pants, are also available in the market. Maybe we talk about that in our next post.

  • Dr Brown.

One of the reasons why people choose certain diapers is because they’re available to reach easily. Imagine going for a brand that will stress you before you can order. Though this product may not be popular like other brands such as Molfix and Huggies.

If you’re living in a rural area, it won’t be a good idea to use this brand because it’s not common in some places.

This diaper is natural, soft, and prevents your baby’s butt from rashes. The best of all, it’s affordable. Dr. Brown also has other baby accessories, like the feeding bottles.

If your baby has sensitive skin, this product is best for them to avoid irritation and rashes. Just like every other pamper, it’s flexible and also protects leakage at its very best.

Before purchasing, you can also check user reviews on Amazon

Price:

You can get it for 8,000 Naira – 70,000 naira depending on the pack you want to order, and it’s available online or offline stores.

How to identify poor-quality pampers

There are many poor-quality pampers out there. The below tips will help you identify one when next you see them.

  • Imagine having in mind to use one pamper for half a day, probably because of your budget or your current location, only for the pampers to start leaking after a few hours. One of the annoying things that regularly occurs on poor-quality pampers is leakage.

Durability is a quality every good diaper must have. Ability to stay for a long period without leakage. Although this may also happen when the pampers are the wrong size (a bigger size precisely).

  • You should always check the texture to be sure it’s soft, especially the area for your babies, butt otherwise, rashes may occur. The poor texture is usually a result of materials used during production.

  • There are times you consider testing. Whenever you test a new brand, one thing you’re looking out for is rashes. If the pampers are OK, you will notice your babies are always neat, no matter how long they wear the diapers. Anything else should be avoided. Rashes may occur when harsh or chemical-filled products are used for production.

  • A poor-quality product will always feel like it’s wet outside, but the inside is still very dry and not yet soaked. Before the outside gets really wet to that extent of leakage, the inside should be absorbed. Anything other than this means that pampers have absorption issues, which is not a good quality.

While some pampers have enough absorption materials, others don’t. You should always go for diapers with good absorption quality. They tend to serve longer, and also they are more comfortable and doesn’t cause rashes easily.

  • Many of these pampers return chemical smells when you open them. That’s a sign of low-quality pampers. This smell may occur as a result of too many chemical mixtures during production, fake materials, etc. When the odor is too strong, you should avoid such brands to save your baby’s butt.
